Welcome to Our Site

It's amazing but true

"These skills were not taught to me in school anywhere

But, now I have learned them as an adult and boy is it priceless!"

Dear Leader,

I don't blame you. You're thinking, "come on how can a karate guy teach me Leadership and Success Skills?" Well, I'm here to tell you, in more ways than you can begin to imagine.

My name is Dion Ricccardo. I'm the owner of one of the most successful martial arts schools in Illinois "Victory Martial Arts Academy " with locations in Arlington Heights, Forest Park, Naperville, Orland Park & Chicago.

For over 23 years , I've been teaching adults just like you with leadership, success and character building tools found only in the Martial Arts. In the next few pages, I'm going to tell you how you can achieve your goals for success, and why this course will be like no other that you have taken. Don't forget to get your FREE copy of Leadership Secrets of Attila the Hun at the end of this page.

Today, corporate companies are spending billions of dollars a year to improve

their employee's leadership skills. Millions of adults are also seeking ways to improve their personal and social life through self development books and seminars. We believe that Martial Arts contributes to the growth and development in these areas, and are now ready to focus even more attention to significant results, but remember you don't have to just be a "Martial Artist" to do it.

Our school provides adults with a leadership program that compiles leadership skills that apply to work, home, and social environments. People who are interested in improving skills in these areas can now learn in a positive environment that is fun and convenient.

What is a Leader?

  • Demonstrates acceptable behavior
  • Listens to others
  • Learns how to solve problems effectively
  • Avoid using violence to handle situations
  • Is open to learn new things
  • Takes on responsibilities and can follow through on tasks
  • Values the opinions of others
  • Learns from their mistakes
  • Is responsible for their actions
  • Is dependable and trustworthy
  • Learns from every experience, good or bad
  • Is resilient
  • Understands the importance of caring and sharing
  • Is patient

Being a leader is more than just a status. It's how we live our live. A true leader lives by a special code. That code includes the qualities above. By learning, deciphering, and applying these codes we become a leader. We begin to apply leadership to everything we do, and the more we display leadership qualities in society the more doors we open.

What is leadership?
(le-der-ship) n: to show the way; to guide; to inspire; to treat others the way you want to be treated.

It is important for all potential leaders to fully comprehend the keys to successful leadership and the personal development that is also deemed necessary.

Leadership is often considered a product and necessity of business or management training. It is one of the fastest growing fields of interest for large corporations and youth programs.

With regards to positive leadership for adults and youth alike, expectations of leaders have been much higer than the training provided for them to succeed in their leadership roles. Frequently, those who are in leardership roles have little in-depth understanding of the significance to their role. It is important for all potential leaders to fully comprehend the keys to successful leadership and the personal development that is also deemed necessary.

Especially in youth development, many programs lack consistant and deliberate connection between the leadership experience in their program and the application of these skills in the real world. Because of this some leadership experiences remain stagnant or superficial, giving little depth of value to the entire process. Many participants also begin to percieve their leadership experience as "games" without connecting them meaningfully to daily life.

This course is split into two areas of training: Leadership Development and Leadership Training.

The students will participate in weekly leadership education classes which include 12 Leadership 101 lessons. One lesson is taught per week for 12 weeks equaling 3 months of leadership development. The next 3 months of training include 1 month of learning basic classroom exercises and drills, 1 month of leadership teaching skills and 1 month of project management for a community service activity.

Here is an overview of the 6-Month Leadership Training Course:

The Self Talk Card

If I could give you one procedure that would require roughly fifteen minutes every day, could you find the fifteen minutes?  Suppose the fifteen minutes and the procedure would have a dramatic impact on your life, giving you an infinitely better chance at being happy, healthy, reasonably prosperous and secure, and having friends and peace of mind, and you would see results within ten days after you started the procedure.  Are you willing to commit yourself to invest fifteen minutes every day for immediate results and long-term benefits?  There are no catches and, best of all, the results have been well established.  I'm going to tell you in advance it definitely, absolutely, positively has worked, is working, and will work for you.  What is this marvelous step that's going to make such a change in your life?  Well, here it is.

"A Life-Changing Procedure."

I think this story reveals a old leader teaching a new leader. I hope you enjoy it.

"The Sailor"

There once was a young man that had a dream of becoming a salor. He dreamed of being out on the open sea going to exotic places all over the world. In order for him to fulfill his dream he had to find a master sailor that would teach him about being a sailor.

He went out and found a rugged looking man that had been a sailor all of his life. He then asked the man if he would agree to teach him. The rugged old sailor tried to tell the young man that the life of a sailor was a challenging one and that maybe he should reconsider his choice. However the young man was far to passionate about his dreams and was so persistent about it that the old sailor agreed to take him out on his next voyage.

The two men went out to sea the next week. This was in the days of the huge ships that were powered by nothing other than the wind and sails. One of the skills a sailor had to learn was how to climb the mast which held the sails. This was a challenging task because the mast is very high and the ship is constantly moving because of the large waves. The young apprentice started to climb the mast. He got about half way up and decided to look down. That was a mistake. As soon as he looked down he began to feel dizzy and fall off balance. Just before he lost his grip and started to fall the old sailor shouted "Look Up! Look Up!"

The old sailors yells got his attention and just as he was going to fall he looked up and instantly regained his balnce. He then climbed to the top and repaired the sail never looking down again. After he got back down on the deck he asked the old sailor. How did you do that? The old sailor replied; I didn't do anything other than get you to change your focus. Instead of focusing on falling you started focusing on climbing and that is one of the many skills of a master sailor.

Just like the master sailor, you can learn principals and skills that will help you have the courage to focus on your goals.
